466 HA TOTAL IRRIGATION:
280 ha Solar-Assisted (Fish River): 24/7 direct access (obligatory one month dry period).
The centre pivots have been converted to a LEPA system (Low Energy Precision Application), offering energy savings, as it operates efficiently at lower pressure levels.
186 ha Canal-Fed (Hougham Abrahamson): Pumped via Blue Crane municipal power, operational 5 days / week.
WATER RIGHTS:
322 ha registered.
Supplementary 50ha of which 15 ha (owned) + 35 ha (leased).
A further 80 ha leased water rights (to be negotiated separately).
CITRUS POTENTIAL:
Sufficient water resources to support approximately 600 hectares of citrus under drip irrigation.
STOCK WATER SYSTEM:
Stock water is independently reticulated to the centre of each pivot and to the permaset camps. Given the quality of Fish River water, the system can be chlorinated if required.
Dairy Operations:
PROVEN HERD PERFORMANCE:
The herd is 100% seasonal | X-Bred herd using LIC New Zealand semen
Avg. 5,800L / year / cow | Weight 460 kg / head

1,750 cows in milk (on average)
380 heifers (1–2 yrs),
400 calves (0–1 yr).
80-POINT ROTARY PARLOUR:
The farm is equipped with an 80-point rotary milking system featuring basic Delpro automation, along with 20 000 L and 30 000 L milk tanks supported by an ice bank system. A solar power setup with battery storage and a standby generator ensures reliable, energy-efficient operations.
PASTURES:
Mix of ryegrass, chicory, lucerne, and kikuyu
Production: 16 – 17.5 tons / ha (15 – 16 tons utilized)
SOLAR INFRASTRUCTURE:
Main Pump Station: A one-megawatt system with 8 pumps in total of which two dedicated 90 kW solar-powered pumps supply water to a 39 000 m³ high-level storage dam, which gravitates back into the network to feed 280 ha of solar-irrigated land at night. The pivots are powered by solar with battery storage, ensuring full independence from power outages.
Complete Solar installation has 1642 x 550W JA Solar modules (903kWp). The pumps installed are:
Pumping to high level storage dam: 2 x 90kw = 180kw.
Pumping directly into pivots and permaset: 2 x 90kw = 180kw.
2 x 75kw = 150kw.
1 x 45kw = 45kw.
1 x 37kw = 37kw.
HYDRO POWER FEASIBILITY:
Design-ready opportunity to eliminate grid reliance.
Preliminary assessments complete for future hydro plant, enabling full off-grid potential.
