Livestock farm in Bethlehem

The farm is 1 225 hectares in total, but consists of 1 unit of 595 hectare and 1 unit of 630 hectare. The units are in the market for R22 975 000 and the Livestock, Equipment and Implements for R5 930 000, to sell as a going concern for R28.905 million.

The 2 units are in total:

These well developed farms were acquired and improved over a period of several years. The arable land and the well-planned camps with water supplied in every camp combined with good veld management ensured a viable farming operation.

The infrastructure is well developed on the different units, stores, workshop and livestock handling facilities.

Electricity is provided by Eskom points.

The average long-term rainfall is 650 mm per annum.

The long-term yield of different crops is as follow:
Maize: 4.0 - 5.5 T/Ha
Sunflower: 1.4 - 1.6 T/Ha
Soybeans: 1.8 - 2.0 T/Ha

The carrying capacity of the natural veld is 5 Hectare per Large Livestock Unit. Currently the units are utilized for beef cattle. The fences are in good condition.

Water is supplied by boreholes a sink dam, a cement dams, earth dams and tanks.
