Permission to move under Lockdown Level 4

We are happy to share the good news that, under strict conditions, you can now move households or into a house previously bought, under level 4 lockdown. These changes were published in the government gazette late on Thursday night by Cooperative Governance Minister, Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma. 

You are now allowed to move along with your furniture and other goods within and across provincial, metropolitan or district boundaries. This will require a permit to travel which can be obtained from a station commander at a police station, a copy of the form can also be downloaded from www.gov.za.

Additional requirements include:  

• Producing proof in the form of a lease agreement or transfer documents showing change of ownership, entered into before or during lockdown. 

The movements to new residences can only be done once off and are permitted from 7 May - 7 June 2020.
